First blog post!
Well here it is, the first post. Not much to report other then I think I'll use this to help document my projects and discuss workshop and tool related stuff that's going on.
On that note, I blew the o-rings in my butane soldering iron the other day when repairing some circuits. It was a cheap one I bought to replace a previous broken one. I hopped on amazon, and found a the same model as the previous one, and just ordered it... too bad amazon wasn't around when it broke! I didn't find too many videos of it on youtube, so maybe that will be my first video after it gets here.

Stair handrail
I replaced our carpeted stair with wood treads stained to match our flooring. We kept the last few steps without a handrail for a few months for a modern open feel. Finally with the birth of our son, we decided it was time to put in a handrail. I also installed a matching one at the top, but don't have any pictures of that.

Most mass manufactured chairs will begin to separate at the joints over time. While in great condition otherwise, these chairs have done just that. This was a complete tear-down and re-glue.

Bath Time Reading table
I made this as a Christmas present for my mother, it is quarter sawn red oak, and is build with just joinery, no mechanical fasteners were used. It was measures and custom built just for her tub.
